It is the aim of the organizers to ensure that the 2010 UCI BMX World Championships is not only a fantastic sporting event, but provides an experience to everyone that attends the event – either as a competitor, spectator or part of the support crews.
To this end, a number of functions and activities have been planned to take place during the event, and the details follow.
Closing Party

Venue: Royal Show Grounds, Pietermaritzburg
After all the preparation, tension and effort of the previous few days, this will be an opportunity for all to relax and let their hair down and mix with participants and family members from all over the world prior to them wending their way to their home countries or going on to holiday in other parts of South Africa.
Live music, food and drink will be the order of the day with the aim being to bring the 2010 event to a resounding close and to establish contacts and friendships that can be reignited at future events in other parts of the world.
