It is the aim of the organizers to ensure that the 2010 UCI BMX World Championships is not only a fantastic sporting event, but provides an experience to everyone that attends the event – either as a competitor, spectator or part of the support crews.
To this end, a number of functions and activities have been planned to take place during the event, and the details follow. Traditional South African Evening Date: Saturday 31st July 2010 Time: 18h30 Onwards Venue: Royal Show Grounds, Pietermaritzburg South Africa is a land rich in cultural diversity and the Province of KwaZulu-Natal is particularly blessed in that it is the traditional home of Zulu and has been influenced by the extensive Indian community that settled in the area as well as by the colonial settlers in the British colony era and the Afrikaner. This melting pot of history and cultures is what makes our region what it is today, and this function will include music, dance and food from each of these cultures in a magical mix on the night. |
